Harley Davidson Rentals

Now, renters can go on the cross-country trip they’ve always wanted, on a Harley.

One of the greatest joys of owning a motorcycle, especially a Harley-Davidson, is the feeling of the open road as you ride down the highway. Unfortunately, many people won’t get the chance to feel that unless they go and buy a bike to begin with. Now, Harley-Davidson wants to change that, with their new, expanded partnership with EagleRider.

EagleRider is a motorcycle rental company that has been renting bikes since 1992. With 59 locations in cities around the United States, they’re the biggest name in motorcycle rentals, but they’ve never crossed over into the mainstream. Harley-Davidson wants to change that. According to the Los Angeles Times, Harley just announced a new partnership with EagleRider that would greatly expand the motorcycle rental business, and finally allow new riders the opportunity to go on road trips on a Harley-Davidson.

‘This strategic deal with EagleRider supports our efforts to grow ridership by making it easier for more riders to throw a leg over and experience the thrill of riding.’

The new partnership includes the capacity for customers to rent a Harley at a Harley-Davidson dealer for use on a road trip. They could then take that Harley anywhere they like, dropping it off at another EagleRider or Harley-Davidson dealer. By the end of 2017, alone, Harley-Davidson and EagleRider hope to include 40 dealerships in this partnership, with more added in 2018 and beyond.

“This strategic deal with EagleRider supports our efforts to grow ridership by making it easier for more riders to throw a leg over and experience the thrill of riding,” said Harley-Davidson V.P. Mike Kennedy.

With over 700 Harley-Davidson dealers, this is an amazing opportunity to bring affordable, convenient motorcycle renting to the masses. Harley-Davidson is banking on expanding the rental business to help fuel sales. The idea being that if people rent Harley’s and use them on a road trip, they’ll be more inclined to buy one themselves.

As owners of Harley-Davidsons can attest, once someone takes their first trip on a Harley, they’ll be hooked.
