The Fast & Futile: Honda vs. Harley in Impromptu Drag Race (Video)

By -

Clueless Honda CBR600RR biker challenges Harley-riding cop to a street race. But only one can be king. Who do you think takes the crown?

Now, when it comes to choosing the best motorcycle and you’re choices are a Harley or a Honda, and you end up selecting a Honda CBR600RR over any type of Harley, then, like the Honda rider in this clip, you’re probably used to making poor decisions.

But that was only the guy’s first mistake. The second misguided attempt at biker braggadocio was challenging a cop on a Harley to a race on city streets! That’s the scene that unfolded and was captured on this LiveLeak video after a Honda-riding biker with a GoPro attached to his helmet randomly found himself revving his bike at a stop light when a Harley-Davidson-riding police office rolled up in the next lane.

While idling at the light, Honda guy gets the cop’s attention and after a smile from the officer, it’s on like Donkey Kong. For several exciting minutes, the two bikers each take an advantage at various times during the impromptu race before the Harley disappears from view, and it seems like Honda has left him in the dust. But there can be only one king, and can you guess which one that will turn out to be? We’ll give you a hint: He’s riding the best motorcycle on the planet.

Now, we’re not sure if this clip’s setup is real or fake for two reasons: 1. It looks highly illegal. And 2. We’ve never seen such a happy cop before, well, except in those Police Academy movies. Either way, it’s certainly an entertaining clip that proves the power of Harley.
