Aquaman Star Jason Momoa Tours Harley-Davidson Museum (Video)
We think this superhero might be ready to trade in the water for the wide open road…
Actor Jason Momoa is a huge Harley-Davidson fan. (Literally, the dude is a beast.) He was born and bred on Harleys, and recently got a chance to visit the Harley-Davidson museum. Thankfully for us, the Aquaman and Game of Thrones star filmed the whole thing for his YouTube channel, giving us an insiders look to his VIP tour.
Momoa’s enthusiasm is just palpable, this superhero is simply giddy. He meets Matthew Levatich, Harley-Davidson CEO, who gifts the actor a cool collectors item: A Harley coin made of frame steel. It was designed in York, PA and features a badass Harley stamp. Says Levatich, “It is fully American made and all about personal freedom.”
Of course, Momoa loves seeing all the bikes from the last 116 years. He presses his face up against the glass and says “Oh! I love you!” We feel you, man.
In addition to taking in all the bikes on the museum floor, he gets to see the Harley archives. This is a giant room that houses a dizzying array of motorcycles. Momoa immediately spots a 1956 bike and correctly identifies it as the same model Elvis Presley once owned.
Back in the museum he films a little bit of everything on display, and if you haven’t been to the museum, you’ll definitely want to check it out after this.
One of the coolest moments in the video is Momoa getting to meet Bill Davidson, Vice President of the Harley-Davidson Museum and Factory Tours. While clearly starstruck, Momoa tells Davidson what a thrill it is to be there.
“I’ve had the best time,” he says. “This is a dream come true. It’s so amazing.”
Davidson notices that Momoa is wearing two knucklehead rings. Momoa tells him that one was his father’s, and one is his. And he actually wore them on screen in Aquaman!
Next is a tour of the factory. It is very cool to see the motorcycles being created behind-the-scenes.
Looking at an engine fresh off the line, Momoa says “That’s what freedom looks like!”
It is a great video, done by a true-blue rider. Check it out!
