2016 Laconia Bike Week Photo Gallery
The first day and night of the 93rd official Laconia Bike Week was a bit of a washout with rain reports keeping a lot of bikers away.
Day two was a little better but chillier with temperature highs in the low 60s and day three was even better with more bikers rolling in than the previous days combined.
And the rest of the week promises to be just right with sunny skies and warmer weather. And you know what that means – more body painted bikers!
Weirs Beach has the biggest concentration of bikers and there is free parking along Lakesside Avenue if you can find a spot, otherwise plan on spending $5.
No cages.
The crowds have been steady all week and there is still plenty of time to saddle up and make a run to Weirs Beach. Lake Winnipesaukee is beautiful and a ride around it will do you some good.
At the end of the day you can buy some t-shirts, grab a beer, get a tattoo, eat some fried dough or a lobster roll and listen to the bands rocking out at the drive-in or in the bars.
Maiden New England (Iron Maiden tribute band) rocked the Tower Hill Tavern on Saturday night and there are plenty of bands scheduled to play all week.
There are so many bikes to check out, it’s hard to pick a favorite but you can see plenty of photos here.
BLUE STEEL The dude who caught me snapping a photo of his bike told me it was a wrap. It looks really good.
MAIDEN NEW ENGLAND The lead singer and guitarist are females. Get it? They really rock too!
RIDE ON The party started to wind down but the diehards found some solace in the local watering holes.
DRIVE-IN SHOW I don’t know who they were but they were really LOUD. The crowd thought it was Steven Tyler.
CRACK KILLS The blonde on the right spent most of the set pulling up her spandex pants. Good times.
If you can’t make it to Weirs Beach, maybe these photos will entice you to saddle up your garage queen and take a trip to New England. More photos to come. Enjoy!
