LiveWire Preorders Open for Europe and Canada at Varying Prices

European LiveWire buyers must pay a hefty premium over U.S. prices, but Canadians surprisingly get a big discount.

If there’s one complaint everyone seems to harbor against Harley’s all-electric LiveWire, it’s the price. Which, at least for those of us here in the U.S., is a hefty $29,799. Americans willing to pony up for the exciting new ride have been able to pre-order a LiveWire now since January, but those in other parts of the world have remained in limbo. But now, that wait is finally over for our friends in Europe and Canada. And depending on which part of the world you live in, pricing could be more or less attractive than it is here in the U.S.

Europeans can pre-order a LiveWire now, though Harley says only a limited number of bikes will be available. Deliveries are expected to begin this fall. But our friends across the pond will unfortunately have to pony up even more than we are – a whopping £28,995 in the U.K. That’s $37,800 in U.S. dollars, quite a hefty jump over our cost.

Interestingly enough, our friends to the north will enjoy a discount over both U.S. and Euro pricing. Canadians can pre-order their own LiveWire for just $37,250 CAD, or $27,800 U.S. Canadians do have to visit their local Harley dealership and place a deposit in person to secure one, however.

None of those prices are what anyone would call a bargain, but the LiveWire is being positioned as a premium product. It isn’t some bare-bones stripper bike, of course. Several other electric motorcycles are in the works, all of which will be positioned below the LiveWire. So, if you want in on the future now, you’ll obviously have to pay the cost. But if you’re looking for something lighter, simpler, and more affordable, well, you’ll just have to wait a little bit longer.
