Moto Bay Classic

Full-on moto circus featuring stunt riders, skills competition, Hooligan Racing, and Eagles of Death Metal comes to Bay Area, Aug. 16-18.

If you’re a fan of all two-wheeled things and you just happen to be in or near San Francisco the weekend of August 16-18, we’ve got just the event for you. It’s called the Moto Bay Classic, and it’s an epic event chock full of hot motorcycle action you won’t want to miss. The whole thing goes down on Pier 32, directly off the Embarcadero. Which just so happens to be in the shadow of the legendary Golden Gate Bridge. And it’s got a little something for every bike fan.

The show kicks off August 16 and 17 with the San Francisco Police Department’s International Motor Skills Competition. The unique event showcases some serious skill as riders defy physics on their big cruisers around an improvised track. But that’s just a lead-in to the main event, which takes place on August 18. It’s then that a full moto carnival rolls into town.

Among the many events taking place that day is Hooligan Racing‘s first-ever appearance in the Bay Area. Over 100 riders will battle it out on tarmac in the Super Hooligan National Championship. Even better, those same folks will duel it out with the law in a “Cops vs. Hooligans Gymkhana” race. And when you get tired of all that action (as if), you can scope out the Architects of Inspiration Bike and Art Show featuring tons of insanely cool rides.

In addition to those events, the 2018 Moto Bay Classic will also feature a kid’s course, stunt competition, and more. And of course, plenty of tasty craft brews and food trucks to gorge on while you rock out to tunes from Eagles of Death Metal, The Vandals, and TSOL. There’s truly a little bit of something for everyone. And for NorCal two-wheeler fans, it’s truly a can’t-miss spectacle.
