Harley-Davidson and EatSleepRIDE celebrate 100 years in Canada with some amazing giveaways.

Apps play a huge part in our lives these days. Pretty much any activity you can think of is covered by some sort of tracking application. That includes, of course, riding a motorcycle. Here in the U.S. we’ve got H-D’s helpful Ride Tracker app that allows us to pre-plan a trip. But for our friends up north, there’s an excellent motorcycle app called EatSleepRIDE that’s been around for a couple of years now.

EatSleepRIDE takes things a bit further by allowing bikers to track their route and communicate with other riders. Users can even save their favorite routes and share them with others. But perhaps the coolest feature is CrashLight. The built in safety feature automatically contacts three predetermined friends or family members if the rider is involved in an accident.

If that isn’t enough to make you want to download the app, Harley-Davidson Canada has teamed up with EatSleepRIDE to celebrate Harley’s 100th year in Canada in a big way. To celebrate that centennial, along with Canada’s 150th birthday, the two are giving away a custom Street Glide Special with 100th Anniversary Limited Edition paint to one lucky biker, along with 500 prize packs. To participate, simply accept the H-D 100 Challenge in the app and hit the road.

Every ride will net you points, as will stopping by a Harley dealership or completing special predetermined routes. The special rides include 20 of Canada’s most iconic routes and 100 different points of interest. A full breakdown and explanation of how the contest works, as well as routes and POIs can be found here.

The contest runs through July 29th, so you’ve still got time to rack up some points. And with a 1 in 500 shot at the grand prize, your odds are pretty good, too. So if you needed yet another reason to rack up some miles this summer, this is it!
