Memorial Day may be over but you can still be a soldier for Mallory’s Army on June 2, when Garden State Harley-Davidson in New Jersey hosts a benefit ride for the charitable organization. The 50-mile, police-escorted ride will leave the dealership at 11 a.m. and wind its way through scenic Morris County. Upon return to Garden State Harley-Davidson in Morris Plains there will be a BBQ with music. Riders and guests can pre-register for the event, with proceeds going to Mallory’s Army.

“The motorcycle community consists of some of the most kind and generous people you will ever meet,” says Randi Kolano of Garden State Harley Davidson. Kolano is marketing manager for the dealership. “We are happy to be here in Morris Plains and grateful to be able to help so many charitable causes in our own backyard.”

Mallory’s Army was founded after 12-year-old Mallory Rose Grossman of Rockaway, New Jersey, took her own life on June 14, 2017, because of horrific bullying. The Mallory’s Army Foundation is seeking to “Blue Out Bullying” by raising awareness of and putting an end to the aggressive behavior.

“Mallory’s babysitter is a customer of ours,” Kolano recently told Hanover News. “We want to teach everyone to be kind.” As of press time, more than 100 bikers had registered for the ride. Garden State Harley-Davidson is currently selling Mallory’s Army bracelets and all proceeds go directly to the charity.
