What’s Up in the Forums: D.I.Y. Harley Commercial Goes Viral

By -

Talented H-D Forums member puts a fresh and funny spin on something that we are all guilty of: Harley obsession.

What do you do when you’re a film school student with a serious passion for your Sportster? You make a Harley commercial, of course. And that’s exactly what Dallas-based forum member Twhill3 did. The result is an even minute of what is easily the most fun and funniest mock-up commercial we’ve seen in a long time. And, you can never go wrong using George Thorogood‘s classic cover of Bo Diddly‘s “Who Do You Love?” to give the visuals an even cooler edge. This creative clip also presents a story that we can all relate to, and one that H-D should seriously consider picking up and running with.

Our members seem to agree, as the original post has exceeded 17,000 views since it was originally posted. Outside of the excellent cinematography and humor, the reason is simple: It’s a situation that we’ve probably all been in several times over.

And as Thrill of it All points out, there’s a lot of potential here.

“Awesome – easily better than any HD corp. commercial out there”

Or you can just appreciate the artistic quality, like Stesch s10 does.

“LOVE IT! Don’t love it for the wife funny thing, I Love it for the music, the effects, the points of the bike you highlighted.”

Heck, we might all be secretly worshiping our Harley’s and not even know it, according to SeniorSuperGlideE8.

“Ever notice when you are polishing the cases or lower parts of the bike you are on bended knee to Harley? Good vid, excellent use of light in black and white.”

The continuing buzz surrounding Twill3’s thread is certainly a true testament to the quality of his work. We sense big things in the future for this Dallas-based H-D Forums member. Maybe the talented biker should consider steering his fat Boys straight on over to Hollywood.
