Who’s Bad? Michael Jackson’s Son Is a Hardcore Harley Enthusiast
And Prince Jackson’s got an entire YouTube channel dedicated to his badass 2018 Softail, which sports impressive badging by Factory 47.
It’s a bright, sunny day high atop the hills of Los Angeles when a barefoot Prince Jackson (iconic singer Michael Jackson‘s oldest son) wheels his 2018 Harley-Davidson Softail out of the garage and into the driveway to give her a bath. Nicknamed “Dirty Diana” after his father’s 1988 classic track of the same name, the bike has not been ridden for a few weeks and is a bit dusty and covered in spider webs.
“Let’s get Diana washed!” the baby-faced 21-year-old says enthusiastically in his latest YouTube video, “Life on 2: First time washing the bike.” Jackson has his own YouTube channel (Life On 2) and 18 out of the 19 videos are of his bike.
Jackson talks a little bit about the bike’s adjustable mono-shock suspension, but mostly this is a six-minute wash-the-bike-and-make-it-shine video. In the clip, Jackson admits he’s winging a plastic bag hack. “I don’t have an air filter cleaner so I’m using a Ziploc bag right now to keep it dry. I’m going to be 100% honest: I don’t know if it’s going to work, but I’ll let you guys know.” (Alas, he does not inform us of the outcome, but we’ll assume it worked out just fine.)
“I really like Factory 47’s badging,” he says of some of the mods that have been done on his Softail. “They did little badges across my bike and I think they add just a fine amount of chrome.” Jackson’s bike also has a Factory 47 license plate holder and he is wearing one of their T-shirts. Based in L.A., online retailer Factory 47 Cycles is one of the country’s top manufacturers for Harley Davidson parts.
Drying off his bike after its bath, Jackson says, “I like to make sure the chrome, whatever I do have of it, is shiny. It gets dirty quickly, so I’m not a fan of chrome.” Jackson prefers flat black, like his nearby and equally awesome Ford truck that’s also getting washed.
Jackson is also not a fan of streaks and makes sure to polish the bike well. “Now she’s just Diana,” he says. “Until I get her ‘dirty’ again.”
