XM Radio

I was looking into transferring a XM subscription to my Limited.

I noticed that the XM Radio setup is greyed out. Does this light up after I have the radio activated?

Where do I find the XM Radio serial Number I need to give to activate it?

If correct you need to add it to the bike unless unlike the street glide it came with it but I thought it was only the ultra that came with it. I had to add it to my 14 sg. Well worth it tho if you ride any distances at all.

it only comes on a CVO ultra

have to add module on the Ultra Limited -- think they told me about 700 dollars and you have to have the dealer flash the system

If it's greyed out, that means the module is NOT installed. You need to purchase the module and install it. Piece of cake to install. After it's installed you can get the serial number from it and have your subscription transferred. THE RADIO DOES NOT NEED TO BE FLASHED BY A SHOP. You can get the module (Harley davidson xm module 76000351) from Boardtracker Harley Davidson (believe this used to be Kutter) for $319.00

Great thanks. I will look into getting the module first.

I thought it was like cars and trucks where you just call and get the subscription added.

I didn't know I had to add a module to the bike.

Thanks for the help.

Basically the module slides into the back of the stock head unit once you remove the outer fairing. Basically what Harley did was carve out a part of the radio to be able to sell it to you for $400.

Do not pay the shop to install it. Someone here said $700 to install. Assuming $400 for the module and a labor rate of around $100 and hour (it is actually $110 at my dealership), that is 3 hours of labor. I honestly think I could install 6 of these singlehandedly in under 3 hours. Any labor quote of over 1 hour is absurd.

I bought mine here. Simple install.

I believe I was told 700 to have the unit and installation -- as they said it needed to be flashed -- I will be getting a unit and putting it in my self.

Can verify that no flash is needed. When I did mine I just powered it on and the Sirius section was added to the Home menu.
