Passing Lamp Cleaning

Noticed that my passing lamps are hazy on the inside any ideas on how someone would go about to clean them?

Thanks

Hazy on the inside usually means some form of condensation. I would take it back to the dealer for a new set.

Never seen any condensation inside - got it on both

Are they the Daymaker Aux Lights by chance?? I ask for my original set did that and dealer replaced them under warranty!!

1.) Remove the Bulb from the Housing.
2.) Rince the empty Housing with Rubbing Alchohol.
3.) Allow Housing to dry completely.
4.) Reassemble Bulb and Housing.
5.) Repeat as necessary . . . I do it about once every year or two.
.

Nope - standard halogen may try that if I can't clean them

Those and head light needs cleaning often since they are not sealed it's simple as mentioned above and gets easier after 1st time.

The procedure that Bluehighways posted is the correct repair. It is common for the passing lights to fog on the inside. Itis not condensation.

Cleaned them this morning

Took about 20 minutes - super easy.

I did the straight Isopropyl - had 91% in the house

Just swished it around then dumped it out and then used my wife's hair drier to evaporate the residue

Came out great - thanks everyone

I'll have to try the rinse method. I just cleaned mine by saturating a gauze pad in alcohol and using long thin needle nose pliers to wipe to inside out. Kind of a PITAl

RK_2014 08-22-2015 04:02 PM

I was trying to dry it out faster by attempting to get a rag in there and wipe

That was a PITA so I just went with the wife's blow dryer, low heat and just applied to the glass watching it evaporate
