No Whining Here

My '14 Road King still puts a smile on my face. I'm done modifying, and have been for a couple of years. All it needs now is more miles on the odometer.

Thanks for reading.

Excellant! ...I am in about the same place; last mod this past spring.

Same here. I got all the little glitches fixed on mine in the first month. Nothing but gas and regular scheduled maint. since.

My '15 Limited's perfect now, AFAIC.

Very cool! I'm hoping to be in the same happy place soon with my '16 Limited.

Although I did buy $200 worth of add ons yesterday. BUT I NEED THEM! REALLY!

Magnut1 10-13-2017 09:42 AM

I was completely done with my 14 RK,, except for paint, going with starlight black. oh, and the black flush mount gas gauges I just bought from a member on here. and the SG "new" seat I just bought from CL for $25, and slash up slip ons someday, and on and on... lol

CrBear 10-14-2017 07:35 AM

Right there with ya brother ! Got everything on it I need. Just enjoying it now. Just back from 950 miles ARK trip, and the bike performed great.. She's still going strong.

So you lookin'' for justification rationalization or trying to talk yourself out of doing any more mods then that you really want to do is what it sounds like to me? lolol

jbfb 10-15-2017 08:59 PM

or are you looking for someone to help put miles on it for you?

QNman 10-16-2017 11:19 AM

I will NEVER be "done"... I enjoying changing things too much! :D

my street cannons were too quiet for me. my old rk classic had 4in reinharts. i took everything out of the street cannons to try before ordering more reinharts. man it sounds sweet just like that.

Installing Ohlins #3-#3's I got from Howard, tomorrow. Still feel like a new bike at 36,000 miles.

OP Good to hear. Same results with my 14 RK. Its silver so I named it "High Ho Silver". Because of that name I decided it needed to ride to Texas so last year I did the Texas Hill country with it. Loved the 75 mph back roads!

On another tour through Nebraska, Wyoming, S.D, Minnesota, Iowa and back home it went through a couple of heavy thunderstorms then more rain and strong winds. It took a licking and keep on ticking.

Heavy breather and Vigilante tune makes it run just right.

Getting close, but always some small things to change or add on. I do smile every time I fire it up though!
