Screwed up 2014 flhtk

So, I was riding and went to switch the BOOM BOX from FM to my MP3 player. The damn radio froze up displaying the Bar anbd Shield with the time display. I could not turn it off, I could not change it, it just froze but I did notice that the clock was keeping time. I rode the bike to work and could not work on the bike until I got off. When I got off, yep, Battery dead. SO, I carefully jumped the bike off and when it started the BOOM BOX screen went blank and would not turn on. I rode the bike home with it charging all the way. I parked it, blank screen and all. The next day I went to start the bike and it was completely dead. I removed the battery and placed it on the charger for 24 hours, charge then auto to trickle. Meter showed a fully charged battery so I replaced the battery in the bike, carefully replaced all of the wires and plug-ins and attempted to start the bike. I say attempted because when I turned the switch on the odometer blinked, the speedo and tach tried to rotate backwards and nothing would turn on, no light, no blinkers, nothing....... oh, except the alarm, that seems to work fine, and yes, I hooked up the battery correctly. Any Ideas????? I'm a little pissed, only 2528 miles on the bike,

call the dealer. The instant the bike was dead I would have called the dealer. Look at all you went through for nothing. Call the dealer let him fix it

take it to the dealer, "you did nothing, just died.... fix it!"

Possibly a bad BCM? Let us know what you find out.

Ok, Contacted Cowboy Harley in Austin, Texas. They sent a trailer 25 miles to get the bike. It was a bad battery, one dead cell. They also did a Boom Box "up-date to "prevent the freeze up". No charge and I was contacted during the day to keep me informed who what was going on with the bike. Happier now.

Glad you got good service from Cowboys... that in and of itself can be difficult to achieve...
