Mine hasn't gotten stuck but it rattles like crazy and is annoying, when I take it in for the 5k service going to try to have it replaced under warranty
I just fixed mine!! After trying the things listed above, neither of which worked, I loosened the 2 screws holding the door to the hinge part. With the door still open, I pushed it down towards the tank & while holding pressure on it, tightened the screws back up. Works like a champ, for now anyway...
Looking at mine with the door closed, it (the door) is not quite centered in the console opening...it's slightly towards the front. I think when I get time, I'm just gonna enlarge the screw holes so I can center it better.
Had issues with mine too, after a couple of long and irritating gas stops, I ordered a key lock version from Kutter. It won't go back together from powder with that stupid button.
After powder coating you have to file the paint build up off the strike, It'll work.

I have that, too. I noticed it during the walk through before I left with the new bike. It was sticking then, too, kind of. That centering issue I totally blame. Wth were they thinking letting it off the line that way? To someone like me who eyeballs alignment defects like that for a living, it sticks out like a sore thumb. I noticed it immediately.

Graphite didnt do it but adjusting hinge screws did the trick.
Mine doesn't, and never has, opened with just a push of a finger. I like it this way. I must use a pointy end of something, such as the end of my house key, which is on the same small chain as my bike key. Push the little button ALL THE WAY DOWN with the pointy thing, release quickly, and it pops open every time. Again, I like it this way. It makes the thing much less likely to be opened by the un-brained, even if I leave it unlocked.
We got a lot of kids in my neighborhood, none of them smart enough to know how to open this.
