Who's going to Sturgis?
 

This will be the second time I've ridden to Sturgis, or through it, but the first rally there. Anyone else going? If you see me, say hi!

Me...3rd time. It's amazing. Spend some time Googling routes on google maps, plan day rides hitting the highlights, (Iron Mtn, Badlands, Needles Hwy, Custer State Park, Devils Tower, Spearfish Cyn, Vanocker and Nemo Canyons...etc...) and import them into your bike or navigation app (I like Scenic) that way you aren't like me the first year and just riding aimlessly and getting home realizing you missed amazing things just minutes away. I don't go to party, but the riding and seeing 100,000's of thousands of bikes on the roads is awe inspiring to me.

Well, there is a SturgEs Missouri... but methinks that's not the one he's referring to.

Heading out Saturday. Will be gone before the actual Rally gets going. Will ride as much as possible and maybe go to town once, just to do it and see them setting up. Not that I don't like people, just not millions at a time!!

Heading out from Calgary early morning on the 6th. Staying overnight in Hardin, MT and arriving mid-day on the 7th. Staying at the Spearfish town campground. After the rally, we're off to Beartooth, and the Chief Joseph Byway. Been many times, love the riding down there.

Does it have to be on. Rushmore¿¿????

I'm REALLY wanting to do both the Beartooth and Chief Joseph Byway. Sadly, I think it's too far to make a run there from Sturgis this year. It looks magical.

@Rounders LOL, nope but it sure is fun on one. I saw a lot of Goldwings and ADV bikes there last year. More ADV bikes touring every year seems like. I've tried them, dont care for them. But I like seeing people touring, the more that are into the sport, the better for us all.
