Anyone change out the nasty Dunlop's on your 2014 Rushmore yet?
If so what did you go with? and does it handle better?
I hate these dam tires, had a bad one from the factory at only 300 miles and am still have front end handling issues that 2 dealers cannot find, so I'm thinking of swamping tires out and see if it helps, I hate too buy tires already at 600 miles but if I can't resolve this soon it will be up for sale!!!
Also does anyone else think the new bike has a rough ride, I had a 2005 ultra and it rode 10 times smoother that my 2014 limited!!!!
I also would like to know of any suspension changes anyone has made and how you like it.
No tire or handling problems on my FLHTK at 12,000 miles. It did ride a little stiffer than my '09 FLHTCU at 100,000+ but it is a much better riding bike. My '09 always felt like the rear end bottomed out no matter what the air pressure was adjusted to.
Normally I was never impressed with Dunlops, but the ones on my bike SGS are impressive to me. Had a nail in rear ( ugh! at 300 miles), and replaced with a new dunlop because I did not want to lose any performance and handling.
The only replacement for me when it's time is the American Elite by Dunlop. Others talk highly of the Commanders.
I'd have your dealers dig deeper. You should have a great handling bike. If dealers are still scratching their heads call MOCO. They can start a follow up ticket. Maybe you will end up with an investigation. Don't let up. Something is not right!

The new Dunlops on the 2014 touring bikes are awesome. They handle great in the dry and wet for me. I've got no desire to change them out for anything but another set of the same when they wear out.
I did change my suspension on my Limited but to make it a bit stiffer and tighter in the handling dept. I went with the lowered versions of the Premium Adjustable shocks and the Single Cartridge fork.
My Limited has just over 1600 miles and I like the handling from the Dunlops. No issues with them at all. I too will be replacing them with the same tires when the time comes. Something else is going on with your bike?
I rode another 14 limited yesterday and wow it rides much better than mine, I am going to call my dealer again today and request a meeting with the moco rep, thanks for the imput!!
