This has happened to mine as well, I think it is related to messing with the controls as the radio is starting up.

I turn key on wait for lawyer screen press accept and start bike. Would it be better to start bike first then when screen comes on press accept

I read about his issue in a few other threads a month back. Said to myself, "this hasn't happened to me". About 2 days later...it happened to me. Thankfully I was prepared due to the good information found around here. Basically this bike needs to boot up before you start it. Let the radio go through all its animation and then hit the 'accept' button when it appears. Once you are at the radio and hearing tunes, then start the bike. Starting the bike too soon messes with its brain sometimes and things don't work right. Like the OP said if something seems off, shut down the bike and start over. Seems to fix most problems.

that's what I do but it's a PITA if you are with a group, You stop everybody stops, I usually just ride till we stop again and go without sound.

Yes...don't know if the suggestion to start the radio first is better but I do it the way you said, start the bike, turn on the system, press accept then pull on the helmet while the system is loading. 90% of the time no problems...and I always shut down the system before I shut down the bike. Worth a try.

And I must clarify the 10% of the time I have a problem it's just that the system doesn't start in the mode I left it (usually Media-Flash Drive), it will usually start in FM mode and I have to manually change it. No big deal!

Good tips...I've had the same issue a couple times. I'll try to let the system boot up before I start the bike in the future and see if that helps.

Another thing I've had an issue with is the automatic brightness control for the display...thinking back, it may also be related to interacting with the infotainment system before it completely boots up. I currently have it set to a manual brightness setting, but I'll set it back to automatic and see if the problem goes away by letting it boot up first.

This just happened to me yesterday. I noticed that when I first turned the bike on the radio "booted" real quick. I just put the radio on mute until I got to my next stop and when restarted everything was normal.

I have not been waiting for the lawyer prompt before starting the bike and with 1500 miles this is the first time it has happened.

Since my bike came in March it already had the latest flash preinstalled by the factory. I hope there is enough communication with the MoCo so they can fix this in the next update.
