Not too many riders who upgrade bars go for 8" as it's pretty much the same set-up as stock (just different look). A large # go with 10" because you don't have to swap wiring. Is there a specific reason for replacing your bars, other than looks?

I just ordered the la chopper 10" twin peaks, they should get here next week. I had read a post with the 10" installed on a SG and when he pulled them back, they were behind the fairing and did not have to reach as far (link below). After i get them installed, will touch base with a little review.

I just installed, and soon uninstalled the 10" LA twin peeks bars. They are below the fairing but will pick up more wind than the stockers. I'm only
5'9 and I just couldn't reach them comfortably. The grip angle wasn't the best for me either as it made my elbows stick out. Switched out to the LA chopper 10" bagger bars which have more pull back and are wider. Still not perfect, but better than stock.
