I like the idea of having a tour pack for my Heritage, but I'd have to stick with the matching factory pack. Right now I have the luggage rack and it works with a day bag for most trips.
I also love the look of the bike stripped down: https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.hdf...358fc9f7b2.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.hdf...af921c631b.jpg |
Sorry for the delay but just now saw your question: I had no issue fitting the generic plastic pieces to either the front or the rear. Again, apologies for the time lag in responding.

My wife bought the Viking solo tour pack for her Softail Deluxe and my 114 Classic. It just has to hold our junk until we reach the hotel...then the pack comes off! It is a great deal, better than HD, and half the cost!... and she got them on sale. I too will be using home depot hardware to mount to the HD frame. Both of ours came with two keys.

Is the H-D tour pak covered in vinyl as stated on H-D website or is leather covered like the Viking trunk pack?

More is not always best. Too big for your bike....

This is what I have on there now. It’s good for around town but I would like something bigger for longer trips. I also have the two up rack already. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.hdf...b0ca970d5.jpeg |

It also came with the lock already unlike the Harley version and I received the two keys with my purchase from Viking. Also added a H-D concho to give it the Heritage blend. |
Spare key hack
Had a spare made at my local hardware store today.
