I like the size but would remove it when not in use.

Just received parts for quick disconnect docking system, solo tour-pak rack, Viking leather tour-pak & finished installing. I am happy with the way it turned out and matches well!

Looks nice. You are ready to go. What is the sound system you have on the front handlebars? How does it sound?

Ill have to post a pic of my completed Viking tour pack with the chrome dots installed. What a PITA, I bought the studs from HD 1/2 inch, Ill post a pic of one of em & the finished product.

I took the backrest pad off the trunk & went to an upholstery guy (hard to find here) & he wouldn't touch it to put the studs on - he gave me a price of $150 & then said he really doesn't wanna do it, so I took it home & did it myself.

Ill try & post tomorrow with details. Nice bikes!!!!

Lexin Audio LX-S4(formerly Shark Speakers). I have had these speakers on 2 other Softails and love them as they are marine grade and 100% waterproof. Great sound and can hear at 80+ mph. The quality of your music is important factor and I found a great app for smart phone that boosts my output from my phone when using blue toothe connection...gotta be careful though if boost too high can blow your phone speakers Cost if you shop around on Amazon or EBay is around $278-299.

Quick note forget to let you know the install is a little tricky but do able as the wiring harness for speakers is massive and the speakers are connected. Impossible to mount under tank, but can put under console....and then only run one cord(power cord) under the leather pad that leads from console to seat.

well wouldn't you know it, yesterday its 55 degrees & today 30 degrees with a snow storm a coming.

So, above is the Viking trunk that I put the chrome studs on to mimic the OEM trunk, what a PITA, those studs have 2 ears as hopefully you can see in the picture. the hard part was getting the spacing & then when you came to a stitched part the ears almost weren't long enough.

An older gentleman who does a lot of leather work (saddlery shop) told me not to use a drill bit as the leather is clad over fiberglass & what happens is the fiberglass clogs the furrow of the bit causing the leather to catch & spiral up the bit.

he showed me a tool he used but I just mimicked it with a ring shank nail & cut the head off it - worked great. I took my time with it & did a little here n there in the evenings. all in all the chrome studs which I bought 100 of em cost $26-$27.

The trunk backrest pad - I took my time & worked the glue loose & just used painters tape to make the arch & followed it with 1 inch intervals, some gorilla glue to the leather / vinyl backing hold for a few minutes & done. so I saved over $300 & got the same look - now my wife jokes that I should bedazzle for a living - LOL

Almost forgot - got the Mustang seat with rider backrest, so now the bike has the whole look going on like it should, Ill try to get a total shot of the bike when the weather breaks & that way all sides can be seen. sucks one day you ride then put it up for snow - repeat process, the northern way!
