I've been looking at Tour Pak's/Trunks and luggage rack bags for my wife's 2022 Heritage. I've found a few posts and pictures of the Viking Premium Trunk on the 2018+ Heritage but haven't seen anything specifically regarding the Viking Challenger XL trunk. A few of the comments I've read said that they thought the Viking trunk looks a little big for the Heritage, but they appeared to be talking about the Premium trunk. The Challenger XL looks to be nearly identical in appearance and dimensions to the Harely-Davidson smooth vinyl Tour Pak for the Heritage.
Does anyone have any pictures of a Viking Challenger XL trunk on a 2018+ Heritage or can share some comments on its proportion to the Heritage vs the Harley-Davidson Tour Pak?
Below are the dimensions from the respective vendor web sites and pictures of the H-D Tour Paks & Viking Trunk for comparison:
H-D Tour Pak Dimensions: L18.75 x W18.5 x H12.25
Viking Challenger XL Dimensions: L18.75 x W18.5 x H12.25
I bought the HD (with studs) TourPak for my 2018 Heritage and removed it before trading it in on my 2022 Heritage (now has the TourPak). The Viking bags do not have a system to mount their "tourpak" so you're going to have to get stuff from HD (not cheap).
They also make a lot of noise if you you HD quick disconnect. I only mount when I travel.
I have the tour pack mount for my bike and its totally silent. You DO understand that the rear two mounts are eccentric and can be rotated until the rack fits snugly, right?
Finally got the Fueling vented dipstick installed. Hopefully, this will help my 2020 Heritage 114 have a long and happy life because NO FRIGGIN WAY am I paying those ridiculous HD new bike prices and surcharges.
I've told about a half dozen HD salesmen and one particularly stubborn salesWOMAN that over the last few months. Let them eat cake.

Just a heads up that the Viking bag you are interested in is currently 25% off until July 5th. No coupon needed.
Is the Arlen Ness Filter size bigger than the stock round Screaming Eagle filter in the 107 (Harley Part 29400355)? I need just a tad bit more air into the engine after all my mods (Stage 2, no-cat header, Rinehart 3.5 slipon). Is been hard to find a good side by side comparison or Arlen ness filter vs screaming eagle heritage 107 round filter. If you, or anyone can help, be great. Thanks.
Nevermind the filter question above, found a solution will be installing a custom intake as soon as it arrives. My bike is a 2018 Stage 2 SS 475C chest kit, custom tuned. I just did the hardbag conversion and will upload an install video to our Youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@BikesRides-S0Fla) in the next few days. here is a photo:
Parts Purchased: TCMT 4" Extended Saddlebags - Amazon, Freedom Performance True Dual tuck under Headers, Hogworkz 2018+ Touring Saddlebag Mounting Brackets.
Parts Fabricated: L mounting brackets to fit Rinehart 3.5" Slipon to Freedom Performance Exhaust Mounting Plates, Shortened Black Harley Softail Exhaust Heat-shields (Sourced from a Street Bob)
Other: various size bolts and nuts to fit slipons to brakets. Patience, Blood and sweat.
Hope it helps some of ya. FYI it is very very loud now.
We also have a 2018 Road King special and these bags are very very similar. Note, the mounting brackets can be modified to be used on newer softails by removing the rear tab and welding it a bit forward, or by making an Extension bracket. I decided to just buy the Hogworks which already have the mounting points at the location I needed. My welding skills are not the best. Thanks.
