foxtrapper Where did you find a Sundowner Solo seat for a Heritage?
I had one on my sportster and loved it so looked on the HD web site for one for the my new Heritage but only saw the 2 up version for newer FLHCS

I bought it used. I do see them occasionally on eBay, though I bought mine from a board member here.
I demo rode the current combined Sundowner seat for a long day. It was darn good, maybe even slightly better under my butt. I did hem and haw over which way to go. I went with the used solo, but only by a wee bit.
Head buffeting I mostly reduced with a right-sized aftermarket windshield. The stock windshield was way too short for me. I got a Clearview, properly sized per their instructions, with a recurved upper lip. Reduced buffetting ~ 80%
@Old New Rider I'm curious what Clearview width you went with? I'm thinking I will get an 18" since I see well over the stock one at 17.5". I have an aftermarket attachment on the top of the windshield to redirect the wind. It works well for the buffeting but is a little too high in my line of sight. Planning to stick with stock width but was interested if anyone has gone with the wider one.
I know this doesn't look "Harley", but it really works on stock windshield. They sell 2 different sizes. I push it all the way down and I can see over it.
Yeah. That's similar to what I have on it now. Just can't get it to go low enough to drop below my line of sight. It was really noticeable in the bright glare or at night. Otherwise, I am happy with it. It was pretty cheap on Amazon I think.

Thanks
You need to go to Clearview website and follow their height measuring instructions. If you do this, you'll get the matched windshield to your height and weight. I'm 5'10", 240 lbs, 31" inseam, and ended up with a 19" tall windshield, which is near exactly 1" lower than eye line of site, as is supposed to be.

FWIW, I went with their widest shield. Its given me no instability problems with wind or semis or anything else. Blocks more of the wind on my hands.
I also happened to chose their tallest shield. I prefer to look through the shield myself, but go however pleases you. There is no one or correct windshield fitment to a rider.
