Same here but I am happy to put up with the slight increase in heat on the thighs, than the buffeting. In summer I may move them to the outside position to improve airflow.

Either way I can not believe how well this things work and I can not imagine riding this bike without them. They are that good.

Any warranty issues associated with the V&H Slip-Ons ? I love their looks, but would love to hear them.

No warranty issue. I was told by the dealership that as long as I got the air cleaner and SE tuner and the Dyno tune my warranty would be good. Here's a video but it may not do the sound justice.

the V&H look and sound great !
there should be no warranty issue as long as the tuner is EPA compliant , which at this point means made by HD .

Catless exhaust (like the V&H) will void factory warranty. Some dealers have apparently promised to foot the bill for warranty needs. Your results may vary.

So I ordered my HC today - 107, silver... can't wait

I'm in the UK.

I asked my dealer about warranty/exhausts. The upshot is that as long as they install the air cleaner and FP3 (yep, we can have that over the SE one), then it's covered by their own guarantee and therefore the warranty is sound. I am then free to add whatever slip-ons I like, which in my case (like my previous Slim) will be some universal turn-outs.

So it seems that Harley UK (as far as I can tell) are wanting to be sure any air cleaner is properly installed and that the tuner is one they know/approve of.

Seems the US is far more stringent about exhausts.

I've also ordered mine with Hollywood bars.

Again... can't wait! Should be with me the week after next.

To me, the new HC is basically what I was trying to turn my old Slim into

I now have a tad over 8k miles on the bike without any problems since the twist grip failed.

Bike is comfortable and handles well at high speeds (90+).

The 117 (114 with stage 3) is an excellent pack bike, I was able to run in 6th gear most of the time with little need to down shift.

This bike is really growing on me.
