I would gladly pay the $50.00 to solve the rattling cap. I have had two OEM caps replaced under warranty for rattling. |
Haven't tried that one, but I got the Willie G skull gas cap probably 15,000 miles ago, and it has never rattled.

Gee I wonder if this cap is just a black version of the stock cap. Or is it constructed differently than the stock chrome cap that rattles?

That cap is exactly the same as the chrome version, they just made it black.
