You could do the main part of the wheels gloss black, and then color match the machined out part the blue that you have on the bike. Or do gloss black with just the ridges and outside rim raw machined. Either way, nice build

I think what you’ve done so far looks great. It’s all subjective anyway, but the blacking out that you’ve done goes well with the color scheme of the bike. To me, with that color scheme, I’d like to see the entire exhaust blacked out too and maybe what should be done with the wheels would become more obvious. I think the engine looks good at this point. Again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. My Fatty is the black tempest color and I’m pretty sure I want to do something similar to what you have. Some people might hate it but who gives a F....

Damn I hated this bike.
After fifteen years of riding a half dozen dressers, I just couldn't get comfortable on this thing.
But finally, after a few tweaks here and there (windshield, some storage and a comfortable seat).
I'm almost there, just need some tunes!
I softened up the rear shocks today, made for a much more comfortable ride..
I'd thought I'd share some thoughts and photos.
Ride safe all..

Stay tuned.
I glanced at this thread couple weeks back and then somehow forgot a M8 Fatboy thread was already started, my bad.
I started another but I see some good reading and mods already in the making, I'll post here when I get my scoot back with the basic mods.

Really enjoyed reading this thread. I've just picked up a 115 Fatboy and there is a lot of inspiration here.
At the end of the day, its your ride, so do what makes you smile!
