Ha, yeah, wasn't thinking about the Vortex. And yeah, I'm looking forward to upgrading that front brake. The stock one isn't bad - better than I expected, really - but if I can't have a second disk, at least a bigger one should provide better modulation.

Share your disappointment. After the True Track stabilizers on my Dyna, the Ness Big Brake Kit was the second-best mod to my Dyna.

FWIW, the stock front brake on my '19 Low Rider is a big improvement over the single disk on my Dyna as originally designed. But I expect the Ness BBK on the new '18+ Softails will produce a similar improvement.

Yes, I agree the brake on my Low Rider is great, and works quite well. It’s just not quite as good as the brakes on my old Dual disk Dyna low rider S. I’d like to get back to that if possible with reasonable ease. I’d probably not do a dual disk conversion though.

I'll be shocked if Arlen Ness doesn't have this out by summer 2019. It's not rocket science. I could probably make one out of billet with hand tools, like so many people do on "classic" Japanese bikes.

The parts aftermarket for these late model Softails has been lean, but it seems like more parts are coming online every time I look. That's why I'm dragging my feet on a sissy bar. That and it's snowing outside right now! LOL!

Arlen Ness site says Part 02-994 *Will not fit 2018 Softail models but a distributor has told me it will work on my bike. So confusing.

I'd say Mchad was the guinea pig on this one and suffered for our sins, so hold off until Ness says they have a kit. Don't know why they don't have it out already, but new stuff hits the market daily for the M8 Softies.

a) Rev Zilla no longer lists an Arlen Ness BBK for the 18-19 FXLR, and the PN 02-994 comes back "This product DOES NOT FIT your 2019 Harley Davidson Softail Low Rider FXLR"
b) Took out my '03 Dyna today. What a great bike. Ness BBK really makes for good front brake with a single disk on that one.

Yep, still no options. And that Revzilla quote is a direct result of my experience. You’re welcome, lol. Fortunately Revzilla paid for the mere half hour labor my dealer generously charged me for three tries at making it work..

I’m waiting impatiently as well. One of these days...

Every once of a while I think about picking up some 2017 Low Rider forks and putting some Öhlins carts and dual brakes on it, but then I think of the ~$2000 price tag and come back to reality. I think the kit will do what I need..

Update: I spoke to AN yesterday and they confirmed they had finished testing/QA and had the kit for the +18's in production. I was told it should be ready for retail sale by June/July...
