Phil
I looked at pictures of Softails with chrome ventilators first and decided the black one would cut back on some of the abundant chrome on this bike and still keep a balance, it could go either way though.

After seeing the touring style air cleaner with the plastic bottom deleted, I must say it looks pretty good as well.

I like the white but would prefer it match better. Black is also good but would switch badges to the darker screaming eagle. Really don't like the look of the tourning AC on the softails. Although on second glance it's much improved without the plastic lower.

Yep, going to put the black / SE badge combo on and take a picture.
Yes, the white is the wrong shade, it's outta here.

I might eventually use it for maybe a big bore application down the road. You can get a whole stock one for less than $50 but have to add aftermarket kit with the stock cover. I think the Ness one looks best but that's another thread.

I use the HD SE AC, it allows for use of external breather bolts, which is part of my criteria for choosing a AC, It's hard to tell but if you look close, I'm using DK breather bolts which vent outside the AC. I had to design a special socket to tighten bolts.

If you already own the ventilator, paint it or powdercoats it gloss black, then spring a lil money on the insert ya like. It'll look great on that awesome white! Contrast a lil with the engine chrome and match the engine black. It'll look great!
