Default Throttle Response 2018 Heritage 114

I have a stage on my 2018 Heritage 114. I purchased the SE pro tuner and had Harley map it for me. it just seems the throttle response is slow when you are at idle and rap on it. seems like it takes a second for the engine to pick up. the bike runs perfect in every way though. on the road it is fine etc. I have a sportster with a Vance and Hines tuner. I decided I wanted to try it. I upgrade that bike from 883 to 1200 with SE kit. when I am at idle and crank the throttle I get immediate engine response. is there a way to set it on the se pro tuner or is it only going to be on the vance and hines since they really don't have to worry as much on epa compliance etc. not a big deal but thought I would ask. thanks

My 114 responds pretty quickly when I blip the throttle. I also have an SE Pro tuner. It had a slight hesitation before I got the tune. They set the idle a bit higher, to 950 when they tuned my bike. I'm curious where yours idles and if that affects the response.

what "stage" did you do? Stage 1,2,3,4? I also have the SE tuner and when I added the Street Cannons, and then the V&H Eliminators, and just loaded the Stage 1 map included with the software. Throttle response is excellent IMO.

mine is at 950 also. if I rev the bike up some from idle it comes on fine. it is just from sitting idle say the 950 and you twist the throttle. I have the se pro tuner but don't have the cables. Harley did the tune. I am going to go in today and buy the cables so I can connect to my laptop and see what I can do. that is what I like about vance and hines you don't need the darn lap top. ya know. plus not limited by epa like Harley Davidson is. I understand why they are and I know they hate dealing with it to but they have to sell motorcycles. don't need epa all over them. I am just wondering if there is a setting on the se pro software. now we do have fly by wire right?

Yeah go get the cable. You may want to ask your dealer if they actually tuned your bike or if they just loaded the base map from your stage (1?) upgrade. I just loaded the Stage 1 base map on my own and it runs just fine.
