Default I am officially pissed off over the Speedo condensation

Yes. This has been going on forever. And I asked my dealer about replacing mine under warrant. I was told HD will NOT replace it as long as the condensation goes away after sitting awhile. Well, mine has gotten so I cannot read the tach or see what gear I am in evertime I ride. So a function I paid for is not available about 20 minutes into a ride. Gonna pursue it further and see where I get with it. After 50 damn years or so and this is still happening?

Toss the speedo in a bucket of water, and let it soak overnight. Reinstall, and drop your bike off at your dealer. Have them call you when the condensation goes away after sitting awhile.

Had the problem, told my service rep at the dealer, no problem, ordered a new speedo week later in for the switch. No issue since.

I had the same issue on my 18 Fatboy and the dealer replaced it under warranty 6 months ago. New one is fogging up too so it doesn't seem like there is a real OE fix...

Outside of warranty work - try crimping the sealing ring better. Pliers and a CD works wonders

Mine was replaced under warranty about a year ago, the new one was fine for about 9 months but is now fogging up again right over the part you want to be able to read. I'm going to ask for another replacement at the next service but I have a feeling the new ones will keep doing it.

I'm wondering if there would be a safe way to side vent it with a plug. We know it's not sealed otherwise it wouldn't have this problem, but if you could put a cap-able vent to air out the moisture quickly, but seal it as good as the factory did for washes & weather.
