Harley says there shouldn't be more than 6 oz of oil in the crankcase...if it does its sumping and can damage the engine.
I like hearing how many miles people have...the more miles the better I feel about the M8 design.

3250 on my FLSB I picked up NYE. Includes a 1400mi. round trip to AZ bike week a couple weeks ago. This thing is such a pleasure on long smooth asphalt and a ton of fun in the twists.

I've had to add 1/2 quart of oil since 1K service. I keep it half way between add and full.

Don't know, can't see odometer thru the condensation that is always present over the bottom quarter of the speedometer. Harley says they will replace my speedometer under warranty if streaks appear with another one that does the same thing.

I'll have 1800+ miles by time I get home this afternoon. No condensation problems on mine, clear at all times.
