Default Found a crack in my bars, decided to go 1 1/2

I recently found a hair crack along the weld on my hell bent bars. Im not sure if it was a fracture in the paint or crack in the bars but why take the chance. My local dealer took care of it very quickly. I figured being that they were going to be warrantied why not go with the 1 1/2 in instead of the 1 1/4 that was being replaced. I figured with the thickness of the front end on the slim that the 1 1/2 would go well. Im definitely happy that I did. The 1 1/4 dropped down to 1in for the risers but there 1 1/2 didn't. My local shop replaced my riser to except the 1 1/2 with no charge!!! I can't say enough about my local HD dealer, Mike the owner is very much a pleasure to deal with.

When you say clamps, do you mean riser or brake/clutch clamp? The brake and clutch clamps are stock (the bars dropped down to 1") as far as the riser, I couldn't use the stock riser as they would only except 1" bars. these bars are 1 1/2in at the riser. Im not sure what riser they gave me, there is no marking on it?

Thanks for sharing

I was looking to get a drop from 1 25 to 1 for installing on the stock risers

Think the slim has the same risers as the heritage

Would you happen to still have the old bars? I recall that u installed the 1.25 on the stock risers and was wondering if you could measure the 1" clamp area for me

Hey Harlot, Im sorry I do not have my old bar set, they were sent back to the factory for warrantee. These are a couple of pictures of my old bars with the riser. As long as you have a 1in riser the 1 1/4 to 1in bars would work for you.

thanks I'm worried as there are varying sizes for the widths

eg. wild ones are 5 inch long

our risers are 5 1/4
