Europe MPH too KPH
 

Hi all...2018 Fatboy, off to various rallies in mainland Europe from the UK this year. I have just noticed that the speedo only has MPH & hasn't any KPH markings on it..
WTF! How are we supposed to confirm KPH speed!!!!!!!:confused:

multiply your KPH speed sign by six (6),, example you are traveling at 60KPH and your speed is 35 mph or so

You can set your speedo to KMH instead of MPH. It's in the manual somewhere.

Or just roughly multiply the KMH number by 0.6. For instance.....100KHM is 60 MPH.

Its not accurate, but it's good enough.

What's more, you should NEVER conform to speed limits anyway, so it really doesn't matter.

It is not in the handbook well not ours!

Set your speedo readout to read total miles, not trip A, B or anything else, then press and hold in the readout selection button until it changes to read Kilometers (KM) the speedo needle will then move to read in kph,.
So if you do this whilst going along at 60 (mph), it will jump to read 100 (kph) and if reversed drop back.

To change back is the reverse set the readout to total kilometers and them press and hold the readout selection button until it reads mph.

It should stay reading kpm until you change it back, however some bikes the speedo display will default back to mph once turned off but the total distance stays in km and you have to change it to get it to display kpm again!
