S&S Cycle Slash Cut Slip Ons
Greetings. I'm new to the forum and a new owner of a '19 Street Bob. Look forward to sharing ideas as I build my new Harley. First priority, slip ons.
I'm intrigued by the S&S Clash Cuts since they are sound and CARB compliant in California. I live near beach cities who are cracking down on exhaust so I wan't good sound but something compliant to avoid the hassle. I can't find much online about these pipes and haven't seen any on the road. Anyone have experience with them? https://www.sscycle.com/products/sla...reakout-black/ |
I have the same mufflers made to fit a Heritage. They sound and run great. Not too loud like some are. They are basically a straight through pipe with a high flow catalytic converter inside. They run great. My bike with the HD torque cam makes good power and torque.
Here's a pic looking in at the cat-converter. If you point it at a light you can see through it. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.hdf...adccfcfcb2.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.hdf...0eb02511ac.jpg |

The db reducer is simply a straight piece of pipe that reduces the outlet diameter of the muffler. My bike was tuned with them in place and I have never taken them out. It is plenty loud enough for me.

Okay but are you running the DB reducers in your mufflers?

I have them on my 19 Deluxe. I did get the non catted version and removed the db killer. You can click on the vid on my sig for how they sound tuned with PV from Fuelmoto. |
Thanks for the replies. I ordered the CA compliant pipes today. Hope to have them on this weekend!

Installed the slip ons and love them! Decibel reducers in, slip ons only... no air cleaner or tune. They are perfect for me. Nice rumble but not obnoxiously loud.
