Question Street Bob for Tall Rider

Hi there. This is my first post here so hopefully I'm in the right area. I'm inter on buying my first HD and I love the ride and classic look of the '19 Street Bob. But I'm 6'2" 220lbs and I'm like a bear on a tricycle on that thing. I'm hoping forward controls and a different seat would stretch me out enough to keep my knees out of my eyes but of course there's no way to find out unless I buy one and modify it. I would appreciate any input about this, especially from any taller riders out there. PS - My Plan B is a Sport Glide with risers or mini-apes. Thanks

I'm 6'3 and I fit fine on a Heritage with extended foot control levers.

I’m 6’2” and I fit the low rider (same basic style) just fine with the Tallboy seat and 10” T bars (straight, no pullback).

I'm the exact same size but got a Fat Bob. I have lower back issues (degraded disc) but find it to be very comfortable compared to everything else I tried.

Do the test ride.

Also, watch this video. At 10:34, he mention his height that is the same as yours.

Hi Sean:
I'm 6ft3 as well and all my height is in my legs and i've got really dumb long arms too. i kept the mid controls on my bike and went with a 10" Lucky Dave's San Diego bar and a Whiplash saddle. I had the guys at Whiplash modify the saddle to sit me as far back as possible and the result of those changes makes the bike fit great! I think you'll be fine on it- just did over 1000 miles on my bike in three days and it was super comfy. The 3.5 gallon tank insures you don't cramp up too much.

Hope this helps!

Craig

Great info, thanks for the tips. That's encouraging. May I ask which saddle specifically you're using?

I changed to Sundowner, very comfortable. Have done 300+ miles day trip for several times, no complaint.
