I had a Pingel quick shifter installed on my 22 Street Bob 114. It will downshift smoothly no problem but will not consistently upshift. I have tried adjusting the position of the shifter in the bracket as well as many different kill switch settings but no joy. It never upshifts in first but sometimes will upshift in higher gears if I back off the throttle when shifting.
My Indy says that it might be due to the way the transmission gears are cut in the M8s. Pingel could not provide any reason.
Has anyone installed the shifter on a M8 and had it upshift properly?
I am an air gun tech (paintball) so I want you to look over the air supply, are there any filters in line? Make sure they are clean, is the air regulator putting out the right pressure? C02 is very unstable and temperature sensitive cold lowers the pressure. Make sure no lines have kinks or leaking, I think they use push in semi hard plastic line? Push it in and pull back it should be firm and not come out. Lastly check grounds and power supply in and out on the solenoid for proper voltage
