It can be done easy.....here are a list of parts but you will have to find your own petcock for your tank this list includes the pingle adapters for my bike.
22mpg is not bullet proof. Tried PCIII tired SERT Got ot Dyno tuned. It is Slow and dosen't even pass a gas station. Burns way to rich know matter what they do. Gets crapy fuel milage after many changes. All around I'm just not happy with it because I can't fix it myself because Fuel Injunkiction
Sounds like you need to get a little more familiar with modern technology. Using canned maps for PCIII/V maps will get ya better mileage and performance than what you're seeing.

Sounds like you have a bigger problem with the tuner (person) rather than the EFI.
22 mpg on a EFI bike is a huge tuning defeciency. But if your set on going backwards your gonna need a

bahahah I see now, your sig says you only ride/owned HD's? I notice this with other fellas that started on sportbikes like me that they never bother modding their harleys because 100hp, 110hp 120hp on the dyno is just a joke on a harley (too much weight to start no matter how much power you have). save your money and just keep it stock and buy a used 5K jap sportbike with 170hp stock to get your ***** off and youll never even think about hooping up your hd again. JMO but harleys are only for taking luggage (females) around town and are actually just american goldwings.
Your missing my point I don't ride to go fast and I have riden sport bikes Hyabusa. My 110hp Dyna was a blast and I do all my own mods. That is why this is pissing me off cause I can't fix this bike I'm just throwing money at it for someone else to try to fix. Not my style I have wrenched and moded all my bikes. Don't want a Jap bike I just want to ride all over with my Wife and luggage but make it past a gas station or 2
i ride a chop for my daily around town that needs constant attention and my 03 heritage and 09 ultra are absolutely bullet proof, just slip on pipes and SE and VH tuners thats it. I can guarantee you if you convert yours to a carb setup youll be even more pissed about working on it. when Harleys aren't molested with custom maps, cams, big bore kits, etc they are almost as reliable as goldwings and you should be getting atleast 40MPGs. IMO Dont do it and keep it simple if you want to tour without too many headaches.

I guess youve NEVER seen how fast a 120hp bagger will walk away from a Jap bike then have you?
your kidding right?? let me guess you actually think your cool on a harley right? that was about 10 to 15 years ago and like I said their Honda's now.... My 02 Gix1000 will (STOCK) will own any bagger you have, 0-60, 1/4, dont even think about top speed. Just because you smoke your buddies stock streetglides doesnt mean your "bagger" is fast....
I'd do it in an instant to my '09 RK if I could. My '00 FXST just required a $1 jet to sort the fueling once I changed the air cleaner and mufflers. The bike ran great and it was easy to lower/raise the idle as needed.
For the RK I've spent $300 on an FI tuner and I'm still messing around with timing and AFRs to try to tune out the pinging...
I like the FI on my beemers and Japanese bikes. Just not on Harleys.

You have OBVIOUSLY NEVER been around big inch, big HP Harley's! Run out to the Peublo/Colorado Springs area. There are enough baggers out there to make your clueless head spin as they pull away from you!
