Post Info on which air ride system to buy

hi guys i need your help again im looking to upgrade to air shocks on 2007 fatboy im leaning towards the shotgun shock air ride. But my mechanic hasnt heard of them so he told me to try either SAS, legend, or the progressive airtail. I need some pros and cons with any system you guys are using?

Of the three you listed, I like none. Shotgun and Platinum provide a smoother ride than any of those and call all be had for less. He has not heard about Shotgun as they are relatively new, but the owner JD has been around the block with air rides.

My main concern and question on the Shotgun Shock, is I keep hearing "tapping" in the installing procedure. What is tapped? If you ever took the system off, could the stock shocks be mounted back up? Sorry if this is a dumb-*** question, but I have no mechanical ability, and am weary of cutting, tapping, or modifying the frame in any way. Do all air systems require this "tapping"?

You tap a hole that is under the transmission I believe and this does not affect the regular shocks at all. These holes are used to mount the compressor. The regular shocks can go right back on.
