Default Sadly, need speakers to match grills

For my rear tourpak speakers, I finally bought the grills from the Boom II setup, since they rather match the CVO grills I use for the faring lowers (at half the price of the CVO's at that). Unfortunately, the Polks I'm using have a tweeter that sets too far above the basket for the grills to mount.

It's already tight around the seat with the wagon wheel grills I'm using now (that came with the Polks), so adding a spacer ring isn't in the cards, so if anyone else has used these grills, what speaker sits flush enough with the basket that these will fit? The Harley speakers use an offset tweeter location, but I imagine any low-profile speaker will work? What of the Kappas?

I have a question if you don't mind, are the boom grills as rigid as they look? I have been wanting some of these for a while now.

Had the same problem with the Kappa 62.11i tweeters. So what I did was reshape the grills using PVC pipes. Started with 3" and worked my way down. Then used some old autobody skills. Sitting down I placed the grill on my leg and used a ball peen hammer to tap and smooth the rest.

If you are using 6.5 speakers you will want to make sure the grill does not come in contact with the speaker surround.

It's pretty stout- think bead rolling sheet metal for rigidity: that's what all the compound shapes are doing for it. The little indentation in the middle for the HD shield is good for a big chunk of the clearance issue I'm having though.

American ingenuity in full bloom, kudos!
