Haven't posted a Vid in a while!
Got a new (to me) bike a few months ago and have been trying a bunch of different set-ups and I thought I was done, until I tried something else TODAY that sounded great, so I figured I'd post a new vid. Still not 100% there though, it can be a little louder. Either way hope you guys enjoy....to give you an idea of what I've tried out recently:
Speakers - BT, Hertz, Arc, JL Audio, Infinity, DD Audio, Memphis Audio, Kicker, American Bass, Sundown, DS18 Amps - Fosgate, BT, Hertz, Soundstream, Arc, Diamond Audio I'm sure I'm missing some. Enjoy. Hopefully the next vid will be the final one! :icon_gunhead: http://vid7.photobucket.com/albums/y...4/IMG_3607.mp4 |

Video's never do justice. What did you end up running? Also whats up on the DS18?

I'm gonna run the HDP4 in the bags....it's my fairing amp that keeps switching every week. One is super clear and loud, but not warm enough, another is warm and hits hard but not the same clarity, etc. I may give the Micro4 a try.
Speakers -- I keep swapping out between Hertz HCX line and Arc Moto line. The Moto's have a crap load of bass, the Hertz get louder. So i tried some Sundown 8's but even with the bass the overall sound wasn't loud enough. The DD's are well made and come marine treated so that's a plus. DS18 and PRV are both local to me, they're HQ's are 30-40 min from me in S. FL, so lots of guys run them here and I tried them both. Sound wise I liked them both, compared to the DD's they don't have anywhere near the same build quality and also lower sensitivity. So soon, I'll have it nailed down. |

Before you know it you will have C5 JLs in the front and Kappas in the lids and............, then change the amp to match the desired SQ and Bass and DB and......... "Nailed down" simply does not exist in this audio world. Been eating Ramen since I got my first after market set up and looking for graveyard employment to support this nasty addiction!!! Fun shix!!!! Bad arse sound and ride!!!! T. |
