It's here!

The BT 2180 and 6.5 combo arrived just in time for a Christmas install. Can't wait. Ready to tackle the pods. From what I hear getting rid of them is the most difficult part of the install.

Nice, very nice. let us know how it sounds.

I really have not found much on just the 2180 kit on the forum, most talk about the 4180 and four speaker upgrade, did you go with the 7.1 titans? or the pros?

Post some pics and advice if you have some time.

I just did my two days ago. Just take your time with the pods. I used a wobble socket and a straight short 7/16 open wrench. There are three bolts that are tough, In addition, there is two more allen button screws on the top inboard flange that are a pain. I used an 1/4 wrench with a Allen head screw driver bit. One more thing if your using the BT brackets install them first, it is easier to get the top flange screws in that way; just a suggestion.

Thanks for the install tips.

I went with the 7.1s. I am keeping my infotainment head unit and BT told me the pro set would not be that much different and not worth the money. Nice to have straight forward vendors.

And follow hbsoldier3's thread on the install. :)
Lot's of good info there.

A few of the members here mentioned the same thing, and when I talked to BT they recommended the same as you. Thanks for the reply.

The install went well. A little blood from the damn pod removal but apparently that is the norm. Plug and play otherwise. Just fished the power wire under the tank without removing it. No problem. Much improved sound.
