Aquatic doesn't know USB size limitation. I have about 15gb on my drive. Every time I search the sound cuts in and out during the file search. As soon as search is done it stops the skip sound. So it's either a capacity issue ( loaded 5 albums only on drive issue stops) or software issue. Second it only root directory to album. So if you have 15 albums from 1 artist you have to search through all that to get to next artist. Called aquatic no direct answer just we will look into it and dragonfly who helped develop it had no ideas either. As a media player the USB is prime function to me. Very disappointing and about ready to pull it and take chances with elements and get x998. Glad I didn't pay retail for the aquatic.

 

Any updates on this? I am interested in the same unit, but maybe not with that type of issue.

 

My conclusion was unit fine and 4gb was max the unit could process with thumb drive before having a glitch. It didn't do it with my phone with 12 GB music on USB and all other function fine. I happened to find a limitation that the mfr didn't spec in manual or think about really. I sold it knowing it's fine but the limitation wasn't what I was after. If you have an IPod it isn't a bad unit for basic playback.
