Non fairinged Road King options
so, for financial reasons,(company buyout and losing pension fund so I need to up my 401k contribution) Im considering trading the Ultra for a Road King. My main concern is how far backward Id be going audio wise. Are there any good options for a loud system. Will do speaker lids and amp. Would also consider lowers, but not a fairing. Im thinking some type of usb/ipod interface.

These are called Tune Tatas. I put in 6.5 kicker's.
Uploaded music on to a 4G sd card and run it through a Zumo 550 that I picked up cheap.
Also needed a amp in the side cover. Sounds good. probably don't get the same sound as a fairing bike with the wind noise but it works for me and the Mrs. We can hear at highway speeds.

I want to do the same thing. I'm probably going with the crash bar speakers and then bag speakers.
I've looked at these and think they are nice if you just want up front speakers...

But I'll probably get these and do it right the first time. Add the bag speakers and it should make some noise.

Then do the bluetooth amp and stream using my phone.
