Default 1997 Electra Radio

I want to put a radio but don't wanna spend a bunch of money. I am thinking of making a harness or hardwiring it in. Does anyone know or have which wires are power and ground in the fairing? Any help is greatly appreciated.

It doesn't have the 23 pin plug. It has two 8 pin plugs. The cheaper the better. If I can find a schematic I will just hardwire it in.

I got the bike for $4000 and am putting money into more need areas. I don't need a radio but it would just be nice.

i agree. rode my police bike 6 yr with no radio. sure is nice to have. i suggest getting a service manual for the bike. it will have complete wiring diagrams. if you choose not to wire in ur handlebar controls it would be a very simple install. most guys are running automotive stereos and adapter kits to fit the hole in the fairing with a splashcover to keep it dry. u definately want an amp to hear tunes at road speed and hands down the most bang for your buck are kappa infinity 62.11i speakers

Im sure there are plenty of guys on the forum that have perfectly good used head units and amps for sale. there is a ton of knowlege here. read some threads on head units and chime in with a question or 2. they will hook you up
