high quality music from memory stick

hello everybody, i have a 13 electraglide classic that i just upgraded the stereo system . radio is a sony mex-m70bt ,amp is arc moto 600.4, fairing speakers are focal es 165kx2, rear speakers in ballads are hybrid audio 157-2 . i am running a iPod 8gb nano off of the rear usb but want to use a usb 2.0 stick on the front. I use iTunes for music and need make a copy in a different format for the usb stick.how is the quality of mp3 format with a bit rate of 320kbps ? I was going to use apple lossless of the iPod . currently my iTunes is in the arc format with 256 kbps. i am new to this converting so please bear with me as i have used a iPod for the last 10-12 years but the new radio will not read lossless off of the usb stick. Thank you

Consider the environment that you're listening in ... 50 to 70 mph down the road is a challenge for quality ... Lossless files are big ( so are 320 kbps for that matter ) USB storage is becoming ( already is ) cheap ... I don't think you'll experience a noticeable.

Thanks, yes usb is cheap and if you loose it or it gets wet oh well . I was told to run good sound quality of music to prevent damaging the speakers and thats where my concern was.

Agree with Uncle Larry, considering the environment, MP3 at that sampling rate should fit you just well.

Try MP3 gain on your playlist before you send to zip drive
