For my 2015 i went with the Harley lids from Boardtracker Online and then modified them for use with the V-Twin Audio 6x9 adaptors.
My personal experience with 6x9s has been the Moto's are a bass heavy speaker and with their low sensitivity they need quite a bit of power to get them to be loud. I have used Pioneer D6902's, A6994R, and now the Pro 6900. The Pioneer Pro 6900 have been my favorites so far. 150 watts and they scream. Very clear and pretty decent mid bass presence.
What does your fairing setup look like?

I'm running about the same at they perform very well, distortion free.

YEP!!!! The key is tuning as with any other speaker. It's crucial.... Distortion will kill any speaker!!!
