What can i do to improve on my rear stage?

Posting here so others can benifit as well, and i feel like I've been PMing enough and dont want to over due it lol.

I posted videos and a description of what i did today in the garage. My fairing in over powering my rear while parked now. I have to fade 3 bars to the rear on thr 6.5 Boom HU for things to balance out better. What reccomendations do you have to help improve on my rear setup? Looking for more volume to help balance things out and more bass (preferrably punchy kick drum bass). The HSK165 woofers are really impressing me with their mid bass. I'll also be riding without my tour pak most of the time unless the wife is with me or I'm on a long trip.

Current setup:

2 BT355s
Fairing Diamond 800.2 with MLK165.3 component tweeter and crossover with the HSK165XL woofer

Lids MPX690s and Focal EC165Ks in the tour pak pods with no tweeters right now.

Lids are the Hertz MPX690s and tour pak has Focal EC165Ks with blown tweeters. Just using the Focals as a mid range until i take the time to put my KRCs in the tour pak pods.

If u want to stay conventional, simple and friendly on diapers and xmas present expenses, I would throw some Pioneer Pros in the lids and some Moto 692s inside the bags facing the wheel.

U go beyond that, it's gonna take some pretty big green backs to cross over into that crazy loud shix.

Oh i know. Sounds like we'll be getting a signing bonus for extending our contract at work so Im looking to go all out. Been leaning towards the Voodoo 8.8 lids over the Twisted 8s. I have some Pioneer Pros on the shelf. There is also a DSP in the works. Gonna start there, but more is always better lol.

Also going to sell a few things that are just sitting here, but want to get a definite plan in place before I start selling things off.

Slye is doing the 8.8 lids, I'm watching too as I know I won't leave well enough alone :p

I've talked to him about them. He has a couple vids that i watched and was impressed with the bass. Just wondering how punchy they are for the kick drum.

Also the 602s are on the way.

I think you are going about this all wrong man and just blowing your money at this point. You have more power to your fairing than your lids so they'll never be "balanced" and the 602 are 88db while your fairing woofer is 92db. Pronounced kick drum will come from a good midrange not a set of Moto speakers. Please don't blow any more hard earned cash and give me a little time. Go back and listen to the 6 speaker bike I posted over the summer or if you have an iPhone I can iMessage you some more recent builds. If your chasing something that makes that first song sound like it's supposed to you need to go a different route. Be patient and save your flow brother.

I'm just sending my 602s to Bunker to get him by till he figures out his rear.

But i hear ya on slowing down, i will say I'm happy with the changes in the fairing right now. My ocd/impatient side is coming out lol. That and i start to feel like Im bugging you, and others, with bouncing ideas off of you in PMs, just a bridge i don't want to burn. I got some adaptors in the mail today so i can mess with putting the other set of components in the lids, doing this to save money and keep me busy haha.

Definitely want to do things right and will try my best at being patient. I have enough to mess with to keep me busy. Ice fishing will be starting up here.

With ur OCD really focused on the kick drum, u really need to follow Hazes advice and set the audio parking brake for a bit. The speaker selection will be huge but more important is the EQing. There is shix that u can do at 50hz, 80hz, again at about 300-400hz then ultimately blocking out anything above 10k. Tons of different techniques but if that's the OCD ur ears r wrapped up in then u have to chill and clearly identify the tools that will get u there.

No better full range speaker out there than the JL880. But there are a ton of factors to be considered prior to making that leap.

Take ur time bro, and if u commit to putting a dollar in your new born's college fund for every dollar u spend on audio, all will be damn good!!!
