I am thinking about installing a set of Loud Daddy Lids by "Speed By Design" on my 14 street glide special. Has any body used these lids and how do they do. Does it sound good with the JL 7.7 Speakers?
Yup, GREAT lids with the caveat that you can only use the JL Audio 7.7's. Don't get me wrong their great speakers but there are others out there that are better for the money (speakers I mean, the SBD lids are seriously TOP NOTCH!)
Take a look at the Twisted 8's.
I do wish that SBD would make a set of Loud Daddy's to fit all 8's, I'd buy them in a heartbeat as the quality just can't be beat imo.
Well I have a set of the JL 6.5s I am putting in the batwing, a set of JL 6.5s in the lower fairings then I have a set of JL 7.7s I am putting in the saddle bag lids... didn't know if I wanted to do a custom lid and have them made or go with SBD Loud Daddy Lids. Will be pushing with a 800 Watt am from JL as well

If you're set on using the 7.7's then don't look back. I'm telling you the quality of those lids is amazing you will not be disappointed (in the lids )
well paint will have to come at the end of this summer after I save up more money. now to find a shop that could spray them for me. on the less expensive side...
are they pre painted or will they need to be painted.
Go with the 8s bro!!! If the JL 880 will fit in the 14+ SBD ur golden, especially since ur a JL fan.
I'm using the Voodoo w JL880 and they too are damn good quality and point more towards the rider versus the car next to u. Voodoo take a bit more work to install the hardware but u can always have Voodoo do that for u if u send them the hardware goods. Just depends if u enjoy a little fabrication work.
