Default Do GZ yellow baskets fit?

I’ve got a 2020 SG. Ordered some 6.5 yellow baskets but now I’m seeing people are having to cut the speaker pods? Will this be the case for my bike? Just replacing the upper fairing speakers and installing an SD 800.4 amp. If this is the scenario with these speakers I’d prefer not to start cutting things. Any recs for alternatives?

not sure how different the pods are, if at all, but my 2016 SGS required only minor rib removal for the GZ's to fit, no hole cutting was needed for me...

Not sure if its the same for a 2020, but my guess is it is.....minor mods to inside of pod (pics in thread)

Any thought of using a spacer to avoid the modification of the pod?

Spacer might push the pods back too far and hit the fairing or something.

No big deal to take out those ribs. They're never seen anyway.

Thank you for the insight. Nothing like spending $20k on a bike and having to cut prices off of it!! And again, I will apologize for any redundancy in my posts. I do search before I ask and usually I’m not seeing exactly what I’m looking for.

Ive not personally done it, so just a guess. Based on other mobile audio experience a simple spacer would probably interfere with the mounting of the stock speaker grills.......

Specifically which Hertz are you considering ‘drop in?’
