Default I need some audio system help

So I just installed a set of infinity kapa 62.11i in the fairing of my 14 SGS and have another set coming for the lowers, Cerwin Vega B54 for the amp and a Biketronix BT355. Honestly it kinda sounds like crap to me, i know the amp has plenty power and i have ran with these speakers before on another bike and they sounded great so im guessing it is due to the lack of equalization. are any of you guys adding equalizers to your bikes ? if so what do you recommend and where are you mounting it ? I know there are much better amps and speakers i could have went with but this is what I bought and this is what im sticking with so please save those comments and sales pitches.

2 questions off the bat... Did you mounts these inside the pods and did you port the pods? If you didn't mount inside the pods then stop playing the speakers immediately. The surrounds will rub against the fairing and destroy the speaker.

What is it about the sound you are not liking?

And what Bates said, move them to the inside of the pods, or better yet; replace the pods with the BT brackets.

The speakers are mounted inside the pods, i did the mod to the pods that is posted on the forums but no they are not ported, how do i go about parting them ? As far as the sound goes its like either i can adjust it to no bass or the bass is overpowering like there is no in between and i just feel like in need to adjust the mids or something but theres no way. Does this make sense at all ? its hard to explain what im hearing to you guys but this is my 4th bagger and it has the worst sound system of them all and all of my setups have been budget

When I had the pods I cut a 3" vent when I had some Moto 602s, they moved some air. I'm not real familiar with the Kappas, but maybe start with one 1" hole and go from there to your liking, playing some music in between cutting holes.
